Central Maastricht

John Aarts the member of the municipal executive committed to Central Maastricht. This area consists of the following districts: Binnenstad · Boschstraatkwartier · Statenkwartier · Kommelkwartier · Jekerkwartier · Sint Maartenspoort · Wyck. It is the central part of Maastricht and lies on both sides of the river Maas. The "singels" – streets that used to belong to the former ring of Maastricht – form part of the border on the western bank of the Maas.
