Voting Citizens' Budget
For the Maastricht Citizens' Budget 2025 we received many ideas to make Maastricht a better place. Now all residents of Maastricht can vote! Vote for your favourite project in the theme Community Life. You can vote online from Monday 19 January until Friday 23 January, and during the final event on Saturday 31 January 2026.
You help decide
By voting, you help decide which projects will really be carried out. 47 projects from 4 themes will go ahead without a voting round. You must vote on the 20 projects in the theme Community Life.
You can vote for one project. You can find all projects with photos on the project page. Filter by year 2025 and, if you want, by theme.
Vote online
From Monday 19 January at 09:00 until Friday 23 January at 17:00 you can vote online.
You only need your e-mail address. In the voting form you will find all projects with their requested budget.

Come on foot or by bike. There are bicycle racks and a covered bicycle parking area at the Vrijthof. Supervised bicycle parking is available at the Markt and the Kesselskade. Or choose public transport: almost all city buses stop at “Vrijthof” or “Boschstraat/Markt”.
Coming by car? Park for free at P+R Noord and take the bus. Or check maastrichtbereikbaar.nl for parking garages and parking areas.
A photographer will take professional photos during the final event. The municipality of Maastricht may use these photos in the future, for example in communication about the citizens’ budget.

The final event on Saturday, 31 January is at Theater aan het Vrijthof, a lively meeting place in the centre of Maastricht. That morning, you can also join a guided tour. During the tour, you get a look behind the scenes, for example in the artists’ lounge and the dressing rooms. You can sign up for the tour from Monday 12 January until Sunday 25 January.
Please note: the guided tour and the form are only available in Dutch.
You can choose from 3 times. One of the 3 times is also suitable for people with a physical disability. Sign up quickly, because full is full!
How do we calculate the final scores?
The online votes count for 40 percent. The votes during the final event count for 60 percent. This is because we think meeting each other is important. Want to know more about how we calculate the final scores per project? We explain it on this page about the calculation of the final scores.
