Voting Citizens' Budget
For the Maastricht Citizens' Budget 2025 we received many ideas to make Maastricht a better place. In January, residents of Maastricht were able to vote for their favourite project within the theme Community associations. Voting was possible online until Friday 23 January, and in person during the final event on Saturday 31 January 2026.
You help decide
By voting, residents helped decide which projects would actually be carried out. A total of 47 projects across 4 themes had already been approved for implementation and did not require a vote. Residents could vote on 20 projects within the Community associations theme.

How are the final scores calculated?
Online votes counted for 40% of the final score. Votes cast during the final event counted for 60%. We gave more weight to the final event because we value meeting other people and talking to each other in person. Want to know more about how the final score for each project is calculated? Results
At the beginning of December, it was already announced that 47 projects from 4 themes would go directly to the execution phase. You can find these projects on this page. Filter by year (2025) and, if you want, by theme.
