A new Thuis in Maastricht Magazine
In October and November 2025, the new Thuis in Maastricht Magazine (At Home in Maastricht Magazine) will once again be delivered to homes across the city. The magazine features stories from Maastricht residents about where they live and what they enjoy doing. Their stories may inspire you to get involved too – for example at a club, community centre or as a volunteer.
The printed magazine is only available in Dutch. But you can read all the stories in English online on our page Thuis in Maastricht Magazine.
From paper to magazine
What started out earlier this year as a small local paper has now grown into a real magazine, with even more pages. Because we want to show what is happening in our neighbourhoods, how people meet each other there, and which places, clubs and organisations help make our city an even better place to live.
Festive Launch in the City Hall
A festive presentation of the magazine took place in the City Hall on Tuesday afternoon 28 October. Everyone featured in the magazine, or who worked on it, was invited. Members of the municipal executive Frans Bastiaens and Jeroen Hoenderkamp were there to thank everyone – and naturally, there was vlaai (sweet pie or tart from Limburg).
Vivien and her keeshonden on the cover
Vivien from Blauwdorp is on the cover. She walks her 6 keeshonden 3 times a day. During the launch, Vivien received the first printed copy of the magazine from members of the municipal executive Bastiaens and Hoenderkamp.

Maastricht Social Map
At the back of the magazine, you’ll find the Sociale Kaart Maastricht (Maastricht Social Map): a list for each part of the city showing places you can go for an activity, a chat, a cup of coffee or an affordable meal. You can find these – and many more – online at socialekaartmaastricht.nl (in Dutch only).
